June 26, Wednesday - Day 1- Departure to Greece on your favourite airlines.
Thursday - Day 2 - Arriving Thessaloniki
Upon arrival at Thessaloniki Airport, Bus transfer to our Gorgeous Hotel downtown - Check in - Orientation - Welcome group Dinner and overnight. (D)
Friday - Day 3 - : Thessaloniki - Souroti - Philippi
After breakfast, we explore the rich city of Saints, to name a few, St Demetrios, St David of Thessaloniki, St Gregory Palamas. Then we travel by bus to Saroti, St John the Baptist Monastery to visit and venerate St Paisios. Travel to the Ancient City of Philippi, the first city in Macedonia St. Paul taught the Gospel and was imprisoned. Return to Thessaloniki for the night.
Saturday Day 4 - Veria - Vergina - Meteora - Kalambaka
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out - Following the footsteps of St Paul, we head to Veria -Vergina, then on to the most magical and famous MONASTERIES on earth, the Meteora - Visit the Monasteries and venerate the relics of St. Stephen the first martyr. overnight at Kalambaka - Group Dinner.(D)
Sunday Day 5 - Kalambaka - Delphi - St Luke Monastery - Athens
We start driving to Delphi and visit the Ancient site, where it was believed to be the center of the earth. We continue driving to the magical mosaic Monastery of St Luke, a real unforgettable experience. On to Athens, Check in Hotel, dinner and overnight. (D)
Monday Day 6 - Athens - Aegina Island, St. Nektarios – Acropolis – Parthenon – Mars Hill (L)
This morning will be transferred to the port of Piraeus to take a ferry to Aegina island, an attractive and tranquil resort destination. Upon arrival, board our own bus brought with us on the ferry to enjoy a tour including visits to the Temple of Aphaia, one of the finest and best preserved of Greek temples, and then on to our beloved St. Nektarios Monastery, venerate his relics and get the blessings of this modern famous saint (featured in the new released movie Man of God). Lunch by the sea at a local restaurant. Take our bus back on the ferry back to Piraeus, drive to Athens Acropolis, climb up the marble capped Acropolis Hill and visit the Arios Pagos, the High Court of Athens where St Paul met the Athenians. Then we walk to nearby Mars' Hill (Areopagus) (Acts 17:22) where Paul delivered his soul-stirring sermon to the giants of philosophy, logic and learning and spoke about the inscription to an unknown god. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Athens.
Tuesday Day 7 - Corinth - Patras - Kyllini - Zakynthos
Breakfast. Check out of Athens - We shall start driving this glorious journey to Corinth, we stop at the Corinth canal for the magical photo opportunity. About the year AD 50, towards the end of his second missionary journey, St Paul founded the church in Corinth and wrote in the Epistles his famous letters to the Corinthians. From Corinth St Paul traveled to Caesarea, and Antioch. We stop at the Corinth Canal for the magical photo opportunity. King Agamemnon led the expedition against Troy during the Trojan War, which Homer recounted in his epic poem the Iliad. Continuing to Patras, third largest city in Greece, at the Roman period, it had become a cosmopolitan center of the eastern Mediterranean whilst, according to the Christian tradition, it was also the place of Saint Andrew's Martyrdom. Then we continue to the port of Kyllini where we board the ferry to the magical Island of Zakynthos. Group dinner (D)
Wednesday Day 8 - Zakynthos - After breakfast, we set out to explore the Island of Zakynthos by boat to swim at the MOST FAMOUS beach of all Greece, THE SHIPWRECK BEACH. Group Activities.
Thursday Day 9 - Breakfast - We visit St. Dionysio’s (patron Saint of Zakynthos) Church and venerate his relics. free afternoon on Zakynthos.
Friday Day 10 - Breakfast - Check out - Drive back to the port to take the ferry and the bus back to Athens.
Saturday Day 11 - Local activities, swimming and free time.Last night in Greece, Group Farrell-dinner with Greek music and dance.(D)
Sunday Day 12 - Breakfast-Check out - One Group transfer to Athens airport.
Daily breakfast, Three Lunches, Five Dinners, Four Ferries and all entry fees to all sites.
